The Mist

In his 2007 adaptation of King’s The Mist, Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile) depicts the intertwining themes of psychological horror, cosmic horror, and the fragility of humankind. 📝 Summary

David Drayton and his son wait for the storm to pass before heading out to the grocery store, unfortunately a thick mist engulfs the town which puts David and the other locals handyman in a state of panic. To make matters worse, terrifying creatures emerge from the fog, preying on anyone who moves. Drayton and the other citizens are not only fighting against the terrifying monsters outside, but also woman by the name of Mrs. Carmody, who is enforcing extreme measures in which people from the society have to resort to heinous acts of violence against each other. Step by tedious step toward life outside of nightmare.
