Bones and All (2022) is a deeply moving romantic horror drama that received direction from Luca Guadagnino, the director behind Call Me by Your Name. After an intimate tragedy involving her father, Maren makes the decision to undertake an interstate voyage in search for her mom during the 1980s, in hopes of uncovering the reason behind her monstrous affliction.

During her journey, Maren crosses paths with Lee (portrayed by Timothee Chalamet) who also happens to be a fellow eater that has his fair share of issues. With both of them suffering from the same trauma, they create a deep connection while exploring the themes of love, shame, and life on the outskirts of civilized society. And as if that was not chilling enough, the elderly eater, Sully (Mark Rylance), develops an unhealthy obsession with Maren, creating a cloud of unease throughout their journey.
