The Old Guard centers around a covert band of mercenaries that have lived and fought through centuries of human history and are mortally immune to all forms of damage. The band is led by Andromache of Scythia more popularly known as Andy (Charlize Theron) who, for the past centuries has fought to protect the world’s vulnerable while keeping her true self hidden from the world.
A corrupt pharmaceuticals entrepreneur exposes and exploits the group for experimentation purposes. Concurrently, a new member is introduced to the team by the name of Nile Freeman (KiKi Layne), a U.S Marine who learns how to control her newfound skills.
As the team struggles to protect the economy and sane immortal folk from the uses of commodification and unnatural abundance of resources, they are challenged by the problems that accompany eternal existence and serve humanity which in turn leads the team to reflect on the price they need to pay for living through time’s cruel hands.
