Storyline & Synopsis

The horrifying events of the movie are results of what has been reported as a case of real-life paranormal activity. The cinematic form of the case comes in the tale of the Perron family. The family moves to a desolate farmhouse around Rhode Island in the year 1971. The farmhouse, which looked like a perfect new place to live in, slowly reveals sinister forces like unexplained bruises, strange sounds, and disturbing entities scaring their daughters. Carolyn Perron, frightened, turns to paranormal experts Ed and Lorraine Warren for help.

As the Warrens investigate further into the case, they discover what may possibly top the list of the worst cases of the house: a cursed land by an ex-witch/ spirit Bathsheba that is able to physically harm Carolyn in a form of a demonic vision. Now, the demon has set its sights on Carolyn’s family and for the Warren’s, time is running out for them to execute an exorcism or the bad spirit will never leave their household.

With a stunning cast, Mike Flanagan’s spine-tingling story and special effects, The Conjuring is truly one of the best in it’s genre and with the makers of the film creating a franchise around it, has ensured that not only the United States but the entire world remains scared.
