The trailer of The Bird Box depicts another layer to the post-apocalyptic horror that it promises, revealing suspenseful details of the film. In this film, Sandra Bullock plays Malorie, a mother whose goal is to save her children from an inexplicable force that leads people to insanity and self-harm when gazed upon. The trailer depicts blindfolded journeys of eerie nature, panicked survivors, and an invisible yet all knowing presence posed to wreak havoc at over corner catalyzing the horror.

🎭 Overview

A force, unseen, is hunting humanity. IF you spot it, you surely die. Malorie (Sandra Bullock), a strong yet hesitant mother tries to live this wretched expanse of reality with her two, young kids. She covers her eyes to prevent herself from having to catch a glimpse of what’s out there. In an attempt to reach the only place that is possibly secured, she makes an extremely perilous trip down a river.

The film jumps through time showcasing how Malorie, alongside a group of survivors, encapsulated themselves in a house and how resource hoarding leads to paranoia of the strongest threat – each other. Even after the house was boarded up, understanding the existence of such a phenomenon proved a challenge. For every willing strong man, there was an understanding of a fully equipped threat in the form of Tom (Trevante Rhodes) acting as main.

Bird Box questions a deep thought of “what would you do in a world where looking means death”. It incorporates elements of emotional balance, nerve recking suspense and profound performances that keep the audience wondering throughout the stunning journey the film intends to take the viewers on.
