📖 Omnibus
Danish adventurer Ejnar Mikkelsen aims to set sail in 1909 to disprove America’s claim to Northeast Greenland, and set off beset by a blizzard with engineer Iver Iversen in tow. Like wading through mortality itself, Mikkelsen battles the Arctics’ harsh extremes, including blizzards, hostile landforms, and the rapid consumption of time. With a mechanical novice beside him, Mikkelsen has to strive for survival as resources become thin and a bleak hinterland of ice forms around him, acting much like the epic fantasy of freezing in hell. Important to note though is that the cold and the polar bears are not their greatest foe, it’s the thick shadow of insanity that looms over. The boundary between reality and fiction hovers somewhere, waiting to reveal the all-important question – can they get out alive?
