π Plot Summary:
Elle Evans (Joey King) finds herself back in her last year of high school after having one extensive summer and putting up with the repercussions of her boyfriend’s further studies in Harvard. As their love life is being tested on various grounds, Elle gets suspicious if she continues to stay with Noah or not. This particularly arises due to the problems she faces when she first sees Noah’s new mate, Chloe, who is manifestly attractive. The thought of staying together and the βwhat ifs’ makes them think abstractly which makes mattered worse. To further complicate the situation, we see Chloe Mae (Maisie Richardson-Sellers), Noah’s perfect friend who we find college friends with Chloe.
At the river bank, Zoey becomes friendly with Marco Pena (Taylor Zakhar Perez), an attractive newcomer who helps her prepare for her breakthrough dance competition. This friendship along with seeing a new side of Chole makes Elle reconsider her emotions towards Lee Flynn (Joel Courtney), her childhood naive friend. Elle is left with intense predictive dilemmas brought about by romance, friendship alongside notions of her own self being.
